Citybike Vienna

In 2010 Vienna was voted the world's most pleasant city to live in for the second time running – one of the reasons is the huge availability of public transport. As the operator of Citybike Vienna we are proud to have contributed to this outstanding success. After all, the Citybikes have become well-established over the years, and the bicycles branded by their respective sponsors have become a part of public mobility.

A growing number of people – citizens and tourists alike – are making use of this particular means of transport to cycle their way through the city. The fact that Vienna's cycle path network is continuously expanding goes to show that our Citybike system is very much in line with current trends. Other European cities have also discovered the advantages of our "free bicycle" and have adopted the Citybike system.

Citybikes are easy to use and the system is continuously modernised: a personal access code is available on registration, all updates are available via the Internet and smartphone applications inform the would-be cyclist of the nearest Citybike terminal.
