Gewista is one of Austria's largest media enterprises and the country's most significant outdoor advertising company. Its significance is the result of its absolute market leadership in the country's capital of Vienna and the most important agglomeration areas.

Total turnover: around 196 million Euros per year
Volume share: 7.2 per cent of all advertising expenditure in Austria in the classic segment (status: January 2011).

Gewista – part of an international network

Gewista is integrated in the JCDecaux Group at an international level. JCDecaux holds the majority share in Gewista and is the uncontested Number 1 in Austria, just as it is in its home country of France. All activities in Eastern and Central Europe are directed from Vienna. Gewista's Director General, KR Karl Javurek, is managing director of JCDecaux Central Eastern Europe Holding GesmbH and chairman of the supervisory board for the company's subsidiaries in Central Eastern Europe.
